So for those of you who know me, you know I’ve been seeing a strength and conditioning coach to make me a faster skater for hockey. It’s been legs, legs, legs for weeks now. But the other day he showed me some great moves with a resistance band for the upper body that I had never done before. I put them in short video clip with some instructions.
A couple of quick pointers:
1. Use only a heavy duty, quality band. I use the Twist Smart Toner Band (Heavy) It has a sleeve that covers the tubing to protect both the tubing and you in case it breaks.
2. Always attach the band to something very heavy, ie..much heavier than you. I use a weight rack.
3. Find a starting spot where the band is taut. This is key if you want to see results. You have to push yourself past comfortable.
I would love to hear from you if you have some great band exercises I should try, Shoot me a message! 🙂
